Itinerary

A guided tour of Livingstone exploring the architecture, history and what the future holds. A private guide will take you around the town ensuring you get to visit all the places of interest. Livingstone was an important town in Southern Africa during the first days of European settlement and the beginnings of Colonial rule. It served as the capital of the British Protectorate of Northern Rhodesia from 1911 – 1935. As the capital, it enjoyed excellent facilities far superior to anything in the country as can be seen from the surviving Edwardian colonial buildings that line the city’s main road. In 1935, Lusaka was named the capital, and the once bustling city of Livingstone became a quiet town. However, because of its proximity to the Zambezi River and the Victoria Falls, it has become a thriving town which, whilst retaining its African charm, is now known as Africa’s Adventure Capital.

This tour includes the visit to the biggest historical museum in Zambia, the visit to the tradition market where the diet of the Zambia's 73 tribes is defined, the visit to the local intercity trading centre and many more.
